This school holidays, kids have a chance to learn the basics of surfing on the iconic Surfers Paradise Beach.
Local surf school Go Ride a Wave has just joined SurfGroms, a new national scheme which is designed to teach children aged 5-12 the basics of surfing. The group tuition lessons will take place on weekends throughout the school holidays in October on Surfers Paradise Beach, just a stone’s throw from Ipanema luxury apartments Gold Coast.
As well as picking up the basics of Australia’s favourite water sport in a safe and friendly environment, kids will have an opportunity to find out about beach safety, surfing conditions, etiquette and basic surf rescue skills.
